Check out my first virtual tour of the new year! Today we're checking out the neighborhood i grew up in.
If you're looking for a goldilocks zone near the twin cities, then Apple Valley is a good pick. It's conveniently located near stores, and the airport, and 30 minutes away from downtown. Real estate here is also relatively affordable. Hit that play button and take the tour to find out more!
Pros
A nice separation of commercial and residential areas
Amazing school district
Convenient location to stores, airport, Mall of America, & downtown
Safe
Lots of parks, lakes, & walking paths
Overall it’s pretty built up - no worries of large scale changes to the area
Relatively affordable with an average SFH price of around $310k
Cons:
Older urban facilities
Increasing congestion
Public transportation is just okay - pretty car dependent
Quick Facts
Population - 55,000
In 2013 Money magazine rated it 17th best place to live in the entire US.
In 1958 the area was known as Lebanon Township and remained undeveloped farm land until the mid 1950s.
For some reason there are two Target stores!
Everyday, I help people who are moving or relocating to the Twin Cities find the home of their dreams in one of the best metropolitan areas in the country! If you're looking for a full service real estate company, that specializes in these cross country (or just across the city), look no further. Welcome to the Twin Cities!
