Today we're cruising around Lakeville, a suburb about 20 miles from the twin cities. Lakeville is a great place for recreation, with lots of parks and walking trails, as well as water-sports around the lake areas. It has great spacious lots, new build homes, and great schools. It is one of the fastest growing cities in the twin cities area.
Lakeville scores an A on Niche.com for schools and an A- on housing. It's rated as A+ on being good for families and the median single family home list price in the area is around $425k, versus the twin cities average single family home price of $330k.

Pros:
Great schools
Basically a new build paradise, most houses are from the 2000's
Great outdoor recreation (parks, walking trails, watersports)
Ritter Farm Park and Antlers Park
Large lots with a good mix of established and new neighborhoods
A lot of industry and local/small businesses/restaurants as well as conventional/big box stores
Cons
Above median single family home prices (about $425k vs twin cities average of $330k)
Lakeville is spread-out and not walkable.
Fully operational farms means the smell of manure regularly
30 minutes from downtown (about 20 miles)
Not exactly a consolidated retail area, shopping areas are spreadout across the city
