Linden Hills Vibes


Linden Hills is home to around 7,700 residents and is located about 20 minutes from downtown Minneapolis and about 25 minutes from downtown St. Paul. Linden Hills is bordered to the north by Lake Bde Maka Ska, to the east by Lake Harriet, to the south by W 47th St, and to the west by France Ave and the city of Edina.


Rated the #2 Overall Best Neighborhood to Live in Minneapolis*, it's easy to see why. Linden Hills is an affluent neighborhood with boutique shops and restaurants and beautiful housing. It's known for its historic, beautiful, and well taken care of single-family homes, that are on the larger end for Minneapolis homes.


Schools here are generally pretty good and are served by the Minneapolis Public School District. The High School is Southwest Senior High and is rated an A*. The Middle School is Lake Harriet Community School - Upper School, which is rated an A-*. The Elementary School is Lake Harriet Lower Elementary School and is rated a B+. To note, listed above are the public schools; with this neighborhood being fairly affluent, there are a lot of charter, magnet, and private school options as well.

The median sale price for homes in Linden Hills comes in around $741k, more than double the Twin Cities median of around $350k. If you're looking for a single-family home, currently on the market homes range from as low as $385kk, to upwards of $3.7m. If a condo or townhome is more your speed, currently on the market prices range from as low as $140k, to upwards of $1.5m. About 70% of Linden Hills residents own their homes.
